Interactive Metronome
Interactive Metronome
Interactive Metronome is a cutting edge treatment modality used here at Davis PT and OT + SLP. We have several providers who are certified Interactive Metronome practitioners.
This treatment is a computer-based program that targets brain strengthening. The client will perform different motor tasks while tapping triggers to a specific tempo. The computer software allows the therapist to see how accurate the clients taps are on the trigger. From here, the therapist tailors a client-centered treatment program that focuses on helping improve the client's timing. As a client improves their timing, they are strengthening their brain by strengthening neural pathways. As the brain gets stronger, the client experiences significant functional gains.
A therapy program using Interactive Metronome typically consists of 1-3 times per week for 12-18 weeks. We offer this service under insurance and/or self-pay. Self-pay rates are 30 minute sessions for $50 per session or 60 minute sessions for $90 per session.
Interactive Metronome can be used with individuals who are between the ages of 5 and up.
